Tanisha London, PhD, is a senior associate with the Milken Institute Science Philanthropy Accelerator for Research and Collaboration (SPARC) team. Her expertise in neuroscience research, grant management, and venture capital provides her with a unique perspective on strategic funding that ensures innovative projects are both financially viable and empirically validated. London has studied various aspects of the brain and behavior, including mood and anxiety disorders, eating behaviors, addiction, and sensory perception. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Spelman College and her doctorate in neuroscience from the University of Southern California. At MI Philanthropy, London analyzes the state of the neuroscience field and identifies opportunities where capital can have the greatest impact to drive scalable solutions to global challenges. London is based in the Washington, DC office.
