Strengthening the US-Mexico Pharmaceutical Supply Chain (Invite only)
10:30 AM - 11:30 AM
The pharmaceutical supply chain is an intricate, interconnected system that plays a crucial role in ensuring that communities and individuals have timely access to medicines. However, critical medicine shortages increasingly threaten public health systems worldwide and much of North America’s pharmaceutical supply chain is heavily reliant on countries outside of the Americas, putting its resiliency and security at risk. Against the backdrop of trade-related uncertainty and the vulnerabilities exposed by an overdependence on a limited number of suppliers, countries and companies alike are seeking to diversify the supply chain. Mexico faces a unique opportunity to strengthen and expand its role in the global pharmaceutical supply chain due to its proximity to the U.S., its strong pharmaceutical industry, and the framework of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). This session will convene leaders to ideate a path toward enhancing Mexico’s competitiveness competitive in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
