US Outlook: Navigating a Country of Contrasts

Thursday, October 2, 2025
02:30 PM - 03:15 PM
Four Seasons Hotel Singapore - Crescent Ballroom

The United States economy is a tale of two cities. Today, it still leads the world in numerous areas, including advanced technology and innovation, biotech and health-tech, investments and start-up ecosystem, education and research institutions, and entertainment and cultural exports. But it also faces mounting pressures, including astronomical public debt, widening wealth and income inequality, political dysfunction, and the decline of global leadership. This session examines not just the nominal outlook for the US economy in the years ahead, but what growing fault lines within politics, economics, and society might mean for longer term growth, stability, and influence on the global stage.
