Scaling Community Resilience Across Borders: Use Cases for Los Angeles and Beyond (Invite only)
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Fires, floods, and other extreme weather disasters are straining the effectiveness of public, private, and philanthropic responses and systems. The issue: How can disparate, fire-ravaged communities from California to Australia, along with flooded areas in North Carolina, Kentucky, Brazil and Indonesia, to name a few, share replicable best practices and projects to confront catastrophes and, where possible, head them off? Contributors to this session will focus on community-scale responses enabling rapid adaptation to disasters associated with extreme weather.
